HIP IN THE HEIGHTS

From a builder and designer’s perspective, the best results come from classic and timeless elements that don’t become dated over time.   Aside from some of the modern amenities, it might be hard to tell when this home was originally built.  With  timeless and classic architecture by Creole Designs in the Heights,http://www.creoledesign.com/  this uniquely appointed and thoughtfully detailed home includes special moments beginning at the front door and compliments the flow through every room.

The right material selections make a distinct difference in every aspect and especially when you are considering curb appeal.  Antique brick steps leading to a craftsman style mahogany door are both nods to the architectural style of this home that also highlights a double front porch with painted white columns and a stained ceiling.  The neighbor next door opted for “haint” blue and a divided panel porch ceiling to reflect their style and include a long time southern tradition of light blue porch ceilings.

Shades of gray inspired the palette and are integrated throughout the home.  It is notably used as an accent for the elaborate crown molding and paired with a very light gray walls, it is the first of complimentary contrasts in this special home.

Custom cabinetry designed and constructed onsite with the client’s input, the kitchen pairs white perimeter cabinets with a dark contrasting island.  The contrast continues with the backsplash tile and its white grout to enhance the pattern and hand glazed custom tiles from Walker Zanger.https://www.walkerzanger.com/
